It's my dream and passion to inspires others to live a happy, healthy life and if you're reading my blog, you're one step closer!
A little more about me: I'm 26 and currently live in downtown Chicago with my husband, Dustin, pictured to the left! Our ideal Friday night is sitting on the couch with some kombucha, dark chocolate, and a good movie. I also love spending time with our friends and family, traveling, and of course cooking up new and healthy recipes.
My health journey began circa 2011. I had just finished my freshman year of college and I had suffered from digestive issues (read: IBS) since I was a pre-teen. As I got older I refused to accept these issues I was having as "normal." I've always been the type of girl with a "if there's something I don't like in my life, I do something to change it" type of mindset. So I started researching about ways changing my diet could not only help the digestive issues I had, but also clear up my skin, improve my energy, and live a healthier life. Of course changing to a diet and lifestyle that was SO much different than my friends and family was hard at first, but I have found an entire passion around doing everything I can to live my best life. I follow a mostly paleo lifestyle, however my diet is very unique to me and my body and I truly believe it's so important that every person figure out what works for them.
While one single health/diet plan won't work for everyone, I hope to inspire each and every one of you to take control of your health and use the power of food to heal any health concern you currently have. I want to provide you with healthy recipes, advice from my own experiences, and other fun lifestyle reads that will all help you to gain the power to take control of your well being. I have seen changes in diet and lifestyle make such positive impact on people's lives and I can't wait to hear how food changes your life!
